Our Executive Advisor Philosophy
Our EAB members are experienced, passionate, committed and have a desire to make an outsized impact. They are successful public and private company senior executives who are looking for a new career opportunity outside of the traditional private equity framework. Our members have built and scaled large successful businesses but don’t feel they had the personal, professional and financial satisfaction working at larger institutionalized firms. We offer EAB members a chance to make an outsized impact.
The beauty of our model is that we don’t have pre-determined roles we need to fill. In some cases, our executive partners only want to assist with target identification, diligence and a post-closing Board role. In other cases, they aspire to acquire a company alongside us and take on the roles of CEO, President or CFO by stepping into the shoes of the current owner or founder.
You might not be ready (just yet!) to join us and a conversation is all you want. How We Work With Executive Advisors
We are very flexible with how we structure our partnerships but our typical framework includes the following:
Search Process
Advisors evaluate their networks to source opportunities and CEP supports the search process by providing:
- Proprietary deal flow from multiple channels
- Financial and due diligence resources for evaluating new opportunities
- Credibility in approaching sellers with solid financial backing
Transaction Process
Advisors supplement CEP with thesis development, due diligence and strategic growth plan development. We provide our Advisors with:
- Committed equity capital and debt financing sources
- Financial and accounting expertise that can expedite due diligence
- Legal and other advisory partners experienced in lower middle-market transactions who can support efficient and effective closing processes
Post-Close Company Management
EAB members serve as Board members and assist Management teams to help execute value creation plans. In some cases, EAB members may choose to step into CEO / Operating type roles. CEP supports the executive by providing:
- Access to resources to support growth and back office needs
- Low debt on the business, reducing cash flow constraints and risks
- Access to future growth capital for bolt-on acquisitions
- Long-term investment horizon
- Access to a network of peer CEOs
